Spence Engineering Company was established in 1926 by Paulsen Spence in Walden, New York. Spence pioneered the external pilot‑operated packless pressure regulator, a design that remains the basis of its current products. The company’s regulators and pilot systems, used to control pressure, temperature or differential/back pressure, are available up to 12 inches in cast iron and cast steel.
